This wall sconce is a play on scale & negative space & arched shapes, the light forms part of the 2018 African Crowns Collection, inspired by the shapes of the traditional Fulani hairstyles. The braided & arched hairstyles of the Fula women were seen as a symbol of fertility and beauty and it is these arches that are referenced in the organic rounded forms of this wall light.
 
The Mangbetu wall sconce is made from powder-coated steel woven with a braided polyporp cord. A non-woven option is also available-please contact us on the below email.
