The Nzinga ottoman forms part of the 2018 African Crowns Collection. Deriving its name from the 1600s monarch Queen Nzinga (Nzinga Mbande) of the Mbundu people in Ndongo, a state to the east of Luanda. Queen Ana Nzinga was a resilient and strategic leader who utilized alliances with her aggressors during her rule in order to secure her people's survival.
The Nzinga ottoman is a powder-coated steel and full upholstery piece that has rounded proportions with a focus on comfort. This piece works on its own or can be paired with the Ovambo side table to form a set.
