Raha — a Swahili word meaning joy, pleasure, or comfort — is both the name and spirit of this sculptural daybed. Originally in 2021, Raha draws from themes of travel, return, and rest, offering a quiet invitation to pause and settle.
Crafted with a full, flowing Red Oak base that extends seamlessly into a sculpted side table, and supported by a powder-coated steel frame with soft, curved lines, the Raha Daybed balances strength with softness.
Raha forms part of a new collection of a body of work rooted in the textures, tones, and silhouettes of African vernacular landscapes. With its integrated design and thoughtful function, the Raha Daybed is a celebration of stillness, ease, and return.
