The Thandeka console forms part of the 2017 introductory Ndebele range; inspired by cultural Ndebele graphics, from abstracted lines and forms of the inspirational graphic art from this tribe. These abstracted shapes are juxtaposed against modern design silhouettes and ways of making. Thandekile meaning "one who is loved' in Nguni languages including Ndebele.
Made from solid timber (Ash) completed by a steel frame work and brass details.. The spherical details on the doors illustrate the balance of cultural inspiration and modern interpretation.
