These art prints part of the 2018 African Crown Collection whose purpose was to celebrate and bring to life the beauty & majesty of African tribal hairstyles within the continent of Africa. The forms & lines of these prints are inspired by the sculptural forms of traditional hairstyles from the continent in the 1900s from the Fula & Mangbetu tribes to the fan-shaped hairstyle of Queen Nasara and elongated and halo shaped hairstyle of Queen Nenzima in the Congo.
The prints are printed on Matt canvas and framed inhouse using reclaimed timber from our timber offcuts of European Ash, Kiaat or White Oak from our processes. Since the frames are made by our sustainable process of our by products, no two frames will be the same.
